Toughest part of being a mother

To see you child in pain…Listen to his unspoken tears…

The restless in his heart and shaky voice… As if life has come to an end….

How to ease him?

Transfer all his pain into me … Takeaway his suffering …

If this was a possible miracle -mothers would not just bear children in the womb but the visible weight of tears on their shoulders too…

At 20 he struggles with looking beyond here and now health issues…

Wish I could make him see future is more fulfilling and better..

Give him a coat of faith and hope, as this too shall pass!

The young soul doesn’t know how to pause and take a step back…

Resilience comes with time and experience of life…

I sit quietly wiping his tears; Kissing his forehead

The weight of his silence cracked my heart and shattered my soul…

Mother’s heart is never with her. It resides in her children. For me two sides of the world and always anxiety of being far from them….

The weight of helplessness and the burden of guilt eats me up every single day…

I wish mothers could have wings to fly; magic wand to make sure things fall into place….A wishing tree to make all possibilities come their way; A bowl of patience and relief to feed them each day

Just raising them is not enough; we have to stand up every day and ease them down…

The pain of distance trembles my heart and mind…. I live in the fog of this phase where no road seems safe…and all I want is to know that my child will be okay.

Maybe that is what it means to be a mother or the toughest part of being a mother: To love someone so deeply that it hurts you back many a times. leaving unseen wounds and pain…

Whether they are young or old, a part of you still wants to gather them into your arms; and make everything as they want it to be….
